Richard Forshee
Richard Forshee is currently the Associate Director for Benefit Risk Assessment in the Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. He leads an interdisciplinary team of scientists who conduct quantitative benefit-risk assessments, develop new methods for analyzing Real World Data, and use artificial intelligence to develop tools to improve regulatory science.
Dr. Forshee has published more than 120 articles in journals such as the The Lancet, Cancer, Risk Analysis, Journal of the American Public Health Association, and others. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 1994. He was a member of the faculty at Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Maryland.
